SGST team raids ghee firm, recovers Rs 10 Lakh

Jaipur: The Commercial Tax Department - SGST conducted raids on Jhandewala’s Food Ltd., a desi ghee manufacturer with the brand name Naman and made a recovery of Rs 10 lakh. Action was taken on the factory located at Road Number 6 Vishwakarma Industrial Area and office at Upasana House, Bapunagar late on Thursday.

Rakesh Koolwal is the owner of the company. After a tip-off, officers of A Circle Zone II of SGST Jaipur took action and found irregularities in stock and input tax. Several documents were also seized in the operation and further revelations will be made upon investigation of the documents.

Following this, the company’s head, Rakesh Koolwal, immediately deposited approximately Rs 10 lakh in revenue into the government treasury.
