Jaipur: A shocking case has emerged in Jaipur, where a woman was raped by a man who posed as her 'brother in religion.' The accused reportedly manipulated the woman into trusting him by claiming to be her religious brother, even tying a rakhi on her during Raksha Bandhan.
According to the complaint filed by the 28-year-old woman at Sodala Police Station, the incident occurred in April 2023 during her job. The accused, who had gained her trust, later forced himself on her, and when she protested, he threatened and raped her. He also made threats to share explicit videos of the assault, further blackmailing her.
The victim was intimidated into silence with threats that no one would believe her due to the false claim of being his sister. The accused also raped her at a hotel while continuing his threats.
The woman, after suffering from repeated abuse and threats, finally filed a report against the accused at the Sodala police station. SHO Surendra Singh is leading the investigation into the matter.
