Atal Bihari Vajpayee was an exemplary leader: Bagade
Jaipur: Governor Haribhau Bagade called for embracing the ideals of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee while remembering his contributions. He said that from a young age, Vajpayee demonstrated hard work, perseverance, and self-confidence, leading India on to a path of development. As Prime Minister, he not only delivered good governance but also upheld the highest standards of integrity in Indian politics. Highlighting Vajpayee’s initiatives such as the Golden Quadrilateral Highway Project, resolving the Cauvery dispute, and advancements in information & communication technology, Bagade termed these contributions historic. He said that Vajpayee was known for appreciating good work, even by political opponents, which reflected his inspiring & magnanimous personality.
Bagade was addressing the Atal Community Centre at Shanti Nagar during the birth centenary celebrations of Atal Bihari Vajpayee on Wednesday. He said that under Vajpayee’s tenure as PM, the nation saw consistent development, nuclear tests established India as a global power, and advancements across various sectors fortified its position as a global force. He recalled Vajpayee’s participation in the Quit India Movement, his entry into politics through the Jan Sangh.
