Constable in ACB net for taking Rs 7,000 bribe

Chittorgarh: The Bhilwara ACB team on Monday caught a constable Nancha Ram Saini of Chanderiya police station in Chittorgarh red handed while taking a bribe of Rs 2,000. The accused constable had demanded Rs 7,000 from complainant Gajraj Singh in return of disposing off a case. Gajraj Singh works in a company that seizes the vehicles on the finance on which installments are not paid. Gajraj had seized a bike of Mahendra Singh whose wife lodged a case against Gajraj. In order to cover up this case, the accused constable had sought a bribe. Earlier, Gajraj had given Rs 4,000 to the constable and paid Rs 1,000 during verification of the complaint to the bureau.
