BSF jawan dies of heat stroke in Raj

Jaisalmer: In a tragic incident from Jaisalmer, a BSF jawan stationed at the India-Pakistan border has died due to a heat stroke. The temperatures at the border have soared beyond 55 degrees Celsius in recent days.

Constable Ajay Kumar, a member of the 173rd battalion, succumbed to the extreme heat. He was a resident of Saru village in the Jalpaiguri district of West Bengal. On Sunday, he was on duty at the Bhanu border post when he fell ill due to the severe heat.Despite efforts to treat him, Ajay Kumar succumbed to his condition. The Shahgarh police are investigating the incident. Following his death, Ajay Kumar was honored with a guard of honor at the Ramgarh hospital premises. Officers from the 173rd battalion of the BSF laid a wreath to pay their respects to deceased.
