Balaji murder case: 2 of inter-state gang arrested

Dausa: The Dausa Police has claimed to have solved the murder mystery of a girl by arresting a couple associated with an inter-state gang involved in trafficking of girls and women on Tuesday. Police informed the victim, Akansha, was found murdered at a dharamshala in Mehandipur Balaji on January 4. “The victim had fled from her house in Bareilly. She met the two accused, Pawan Sharma and Kiran Yadav, at Mathura Railway Station. The accused promised to help the girl and brought her to Mehendipur Balaji,” said Dausa SP Sanjiv Nain. “Pawan then raped the girl in an intoxicated state and brutally murdered her with the help of Kiran. Based on technical inputs, the girl was identified. Both the accused operate a gang who takes runaway or troubled girls into their confidence and then exploits them. The accused have been arrested and are being interrogated,” added SP Sanjiv Nain. On January 4, the dead body of a girl covered with a quilt was found in a half-naked condition in a room of Mulk Raj Dharamshala of Mehandipur Balaji.
