ASI who died in the accident in CM convoy cremated, the injured driver dies

Jaipur: The driver of a taxi car that hit the security vehicle of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma's carcade  in Jaipur on Wednesday died during treatment on Thursday.

With this, the death toll in this accident has now gone up to two, one of whom was an Assistant Sub-Inspector of Traffic Police.

Private car driver Pawan Kumar, who was injured in the accident, died during treatment on Thursday. After post-mortem, the body was handed over to the family, police said.

On Wednesday, seven people including five policemen were injured when a taxi car hit the security vehicle  in Chief Minister Sharma's carcade An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Traffic Police, Surendra Singh, died during treatment yesterday.

The accident took place near Akshaya Patra intersection in Jagatpura area.

Meanwhile, the body of ASI Surendra Singh was kept at the Reserve Police Line today for paying floral tributes where the officers including DGP paid tribute to him. Later, Singh was cremated in his village in Neem ka Thana.

His family members have demanded the status martyr for Singh.

Governor Haribhau Bagde and Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma expressed grief over the death of ASI and expressed condolences to the family. According to the statement of the Raj Bhavan, Bagde expressed grief over the death of Surendra Singh and wished to give strength to the family to bear this sorrow.
