Ajmer municipal clerk held with others for `2 cr fraud

Ajmer: Clerk Sachin Sharma of Ajmer Municipal Corporation has been arrested in connection with the cheating of Rs 2 crore from the manager of a silk trading firm in Varanasi, UP. Accused Sharma along with his four accomplices had committed crime in Varanasi two days ago. He was currently posted in the Ganj warehouse construction branch of the Municipal Corporation, but for the last 9 months, he was absent from duty. After his arrest by the UP Police, the corporation administration is now preparing to suspend him. On the other hand, the crime branch of UP Police is engaged in scouting the network of accused Sachin Sharma along with other accused.

Sachin Sharma and his three other accomplices had duped Rs 2 crore from the manager of the Bangalorean silk firm’s office at Maldahiya in Varanasi on Wednesday.
