ACB nabs WCD addl admin officer in SWMR with Rs 5K

Sawai Madhopur: On Wednesday, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) trapped Ramkishore Kumhar, the Additional Administrative Officer of the Women and Child Development Department, while accepting a bribe of 5,000 rupees. The operation was carried out under the leadership of ACB- ASP Surendra Sharma. The accused had demanded a bribe from the complainant in exchange for selecting his sister as an Anganwadi helper.

According to ASP Surendra Sharma, the complainant reported to the ACB that the Additional Administrative Officer was asking for 20,000 rupees to ensure his sister’s selection. During the verification process conducted by the ACB, it was confirmed that the accused had settled on a bribe of 15,000 rupees. Consequently, the complainant arrived at the CDPO office on Wednesday with 5,000 rupees. As soon as the accused accepted the bribe, the ACB team apprehended him red-handed upon the complainant’s signal.

The ACB team is currently interrogating Ramkishore and has also seized some documents related to the case.
