Jaipur: As the impending elections approach, political scenario in Bikaner Lok Sabha constituency has again taken centrestage. This historically significant region, encompassing eight Vidhan Sabha constituencies, unveils a rich tapestry of political affiliations and voter dynamics.
The current configuration of Bikaner LS constituency reveals a delicate equilibrium between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Indian National Congress (INC). Within the eight Vidhan Sabha seats, the BJP commands control over six, while the INC retains a foothold in two. This intricate distribution underscores the diverse and dynamic political landscape shaping the constituency.
Bikaner East, one of the key Vidhan Sabha seats, stands as a microcosm of the constituency, boasting a total of 2,22,255 voters. The demographic breakdown, with 1,14,388 male voters and 1,07,867 female voters. BJP’s Siddhi Kumari, who was also the richest politician to contest elections last year in Rajasthan, has been dominating this seat since 2008.
Bikaner’s political history spans Maharaja Karni Singh’s independent representation to affiliations with Janata Party, INC, CPI(M), and now BJP. It showcases the constituency’s adaptability to changing political landscapes.
