Vaibhav Gehlot elected as RCA President unopposed

Jaipur: Vaibhav Gehlot will be elected unopposed to the post of President of RCA as rebel Giriraj Sanadhya and Nandu faction, who had stood against Vaibhav, has decided to withdraw nomination. In such a situation, the victory of all 6 candidates of Dr CP Joshi faction including Vaibhav has been confirmed. This will be 1st time in history of RCA that all posts in RCA will be elected unopposed on posts including Prez.

Vinod Saharan, the treasurer candidate from the Nandu faction, said, “For the betterment of state cricket, we have decided to withdraw the name. In such a situation, our candidates have withdrawn their names on all the 6 posts including the post of President. We will work together with RCA President Vaibhav Gehlot for the betterment of Rajasthan cricket in future as well, so that the cricket of the state can be made better.” Earlier on Thursday, RCA Chief Electoral Officer Sunil Arora released the final list of candidates after scrutiny. Under this, 13 candidates were in the fray for 6 posts of RCA. The candidates were given time till 6 pm to withdraw their nominations.
