Udaipur: Man rapes 9-year-old, chops her body into 10 pieces; arrested

Jaipur: A 21-year-old man was arrested on Sunday by police for kidnapping, raping, and murdering a 9-year-old girl in the Udaipur district of Rajasthan. The girl went missing from her own house near Malvi police station area on March 29.

As per the information by the police, the man chopped the body in several [pieces, kept it in plastic bags, and then dumped those bags approximately 200 meters away from the house of the girl.

Police said that the girl had returned from school and left home to join her father on the farm in a nearby village. "When she did not return home till evening on March 29, her family members lodged a missing complaint at the Mavli police station. Since she was a minor girl we lodged an FIR and started searching for her," said Vikas Sharma, superintendent of police, Udaipur. On Saturday evening, police found blood stains near the house of the accused identified as Kamlesh Rajput.
