State unveils new policy for land compensation
Jaipur: The state government has unveiled a new policy aimed at resolving pending and future cases of land compensation through land allotment. Following allegations of irregularities in previous administrations, Urban Development Minister Jhabar Singh Kharra has spearheaded this initiative. The policy emphasizes fair allocation of developed land as compensation, ensuring transparency in the process. It mandates that the plot given must be sourced from the account holder’s own unacquired land. If unfeasible, alternatives include allocation within the same scheme or revenue village, or at the nearest available location, with compensation based on prevailing DLC rates. All allotments beyond the original site require state government approval. This move aims to rectify past discrepancies, providing clarity and accountability in land compensation practices.
