Resident doctors continue to boycott OPD services for third consecutive day

Jaipur: The resident doctors of SMS Medical College and its constituent hospitals continued to boycott outpatient department (OPD) services for the third consecutive day on Friday in protest against the new bond policy. The senior faculty members of SMS Hospital looked after the OPD services along with IPD patients due to absence of resident doctors. However, the patients still suffered with lack of treatment owing to an inadequate number of doctors. Meanwhile, Superintendent of SMS Hospital, Dr Achal Sharma inspected the hospital and gave necessary directions for proper treatment of patients. Notably, the resident doctors are protesting against the new bond policy, appointment of residents against the eligibility criteria.
