Jaipur: People who have booked bands for weddings can understand the difficulties involved in negotiating with the band operators to fit their budget. Recently, the Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGCI) officials conducted a raid at Hindu Jiya Band, a famous band in Jaipur located on Haldiyon ka Rasta in Johari Bazaar.

The raid exposed GST evasion worth crores of rupees. According to reliable sources, the raid revealed not only discrepancies in the valuation of band services but also widespread manipulation in other services provided along with the band, such as horse services, lighting, etc. DGCI officials have claimed to have uncovered GST evasion worth around 6 crores.
