Pt Upadhyaya dedicated his life to preserving cultural heritage: CM
Jaipur: Vice- President Jagdeep Dhankhar while addressing the memorial lecture organised at the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay National Memorial in Dhankya, Jaipur on Sunday, on the 56th death anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay on Sunday, said that Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya was of the opinion that women should play an important role in the development of the country and this would not be possible without women empowerment.
“At present, Nari Shakti Vandan Act has been enacted to ensure representation of women. The strength of digital transactions in the country has established India’s strong identity in the world,” said VicePresident Dhankhar.
The Vice- President added that the ‘Amrit Kaal’ of the country is a period of pride for us. He called for working under ‘Vocal for Local’ to promote local industries and self-employment.
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said that Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay gave the concept of adopting nationalism with Antyodaya. He dedicated his life to preserving the cultural heritage. CM also visited the exhibition organised at the memorial complex.
