Jaipur: Food and Civil Supplies Minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas on Wednesday flayed JMCH Commissioner Vishram Meena over passing of the Corporation’s budget without holding discussion.

“How did you pass the budget? Who are you to pass the budget? Do you have the right? The budget is considered to be passed only if it is passed in the general assembly. Who are you? I am a member of the Municipal Corporation, so you did not even talk to me. This matter will go a long way. Listen, Vishram Meena, democracy at any cost will be upheld. No matter whether you believe it or not, but this cannot happen in the presence of Pratap Singh,” he said.

The minister also said he will soon hold a meeting in the corporation.
Khachariyawas was speaking at the unveiling of eco-friendly canvas bag at the corporation headquarters.

Khachariyawas, Mahesh Joshi and other MLAs also insisted on the formation of committees in Jaipur Municipal Corporation, Heritage (JMCH).

MLAs Rafeek Khan and Amin Kagzi also said that the committees should be constituted at the earliest.
