Leaders upset over tickets raise their flag of rebellion
Jaipur: Regarding the assembly elections, both Congress and BJP parties are facing rebellion in the final stages of ticket distribution. Angered by the cancellation of tickets, the leaders have adopted the old formula of defection and raised the flag of rebellion. Former Congress MLA Darshan Singh and Subhash Meel, candidate from Khandela, have now joined the BJP camp. It is believed that the names of both of them may be fielded in the third list of BJP. Meanwhile, Cong’s Bari MLA Girraj Singh Malinga also met BJP leaders in New Delhi on Wednesday. Malinga said that he will join party only if BJP gives ticket from Bari.
Girraj Malinga reached Prahlad Joshi’s residence in Delhi and said, “I will join BJP only on assurance of ticket. I rejected offer of Rs 60 crore and was given continuous assurance of ticket. And now they are talking about getting ticket in alliance.”
Baseri MLA Khiladi Lal Bairwa has resigned as the Chairman of SC ST Commission on Wednesday as he is angry with Congress due to denial of ticket from Baseri. However, he has cited the reason for resignation as suppressing the voice of the SC category.
Meanwhile, former MLA Jaswant Singh Gurjar, who was the BJP candidate from Bari in the 2018 elections, also jumped into the BSP ‘bandwagon’ on Wednesday reportedly over not being given the ticket.
