Kriplani resolves Salumbar ticket dispute, takes rebel Narendra Meena to CM Sharma

Jaipur: BJP leader Shrichand Kriplani appeared in the role of troubleshooter for CM Bhajan Lal Sharma on Monday. Kriplani brought Narendra Meena, who was in mood of rebellion on denial of ticket from Salumbar seat, to meet the Chief Minister. A successful meeting was held between Meena and CM Sharma who praised both Kriplani and Meena. Kriplani has been actively involved in the organizational responsibilities for the upcoming by-election for some time.

Meena was planning to contest as an independent but after meeting the CM he changed his mind. He was brought to Jaipur in a charter plane by Kriplani and Udaylal Dangi and met the CM at the CMR. Meena said he has been serving the public as an active worker of BJP for the last 20 years and deserved ticket in previous elections also. Meena’s hopes will not be fulfilled this time also due to the sympathy card on the Salumbar seat.

In Jhunjhunu, Rajendra Bhambu being named as the BJP candidate has led Bablu Chaudhary to hint at running as a rebel candidate. The electoral battle for the Jhunjhunu assembly seat has begun, with BJP being repeatedly defeated by its own internal strife. For the past 10 years, due to rebellious leaders, the party has failed to compete successfully against Congress. In 2013, Sumitra Singh contested as an independent against BJP candidate Rajeev Singh. In 2018, Rajendra Bhambu faced rebels Bablu Chaudhary and Yashvardhan Singh, son of former BJP MLA Dr Mool Singh.
