HC takes suo motu action on Bhankrota LPG blast
Jaipur: Justice Anoop Dhand of the Rajasthan High Court, taking suo motu cognizance of the Bhankrota LPG blast on the Ajmer-Jaipur Highway, has directed the state government to investigate and take action against negligent officials responsible for the tragedy. The court emphasized that such officials, whose carelessness and incompetence led to the accident, must be penalized following the inquiry. It also instructed the authorities to immediately arrange appropriate compensation for the injured and the families of the deceased.
The court highlighted the necessity of relocating factories and warehouses handling chemicals and flammable materials away from populated areas.
