For the first time in history of Rajasthan, crypto currency account found in IT raid

Jaipur: For the first time, a cryptocurrency account has been uncovered during an Income Tax raid, according to reliable sources.

The Income Tax officials have achieved their most significant success so far, with the revelation of a cryptocurrency account in the state for the first time during a raid. The account holder has refused to provide the password to the cryptocurrency account, prompting the department to instruct the account operator agency to freeze the account.

The raids continued on the fourth consecutive day on Sunday across all 22 locations. These raids are linked to businesses involving tents, wedding planners, and event management. The cash seized during the raids has now increased to `8.76 crore, while 9.53 kilograms of gold jewellery worth `7.86 crore have also been confiscated. All 20 lockers have been opened, revealing jewellery and investment documents. Phones, laptops, and emails seized during the raids are being thoroughly examined, with several digital documents reportedly being cloned. WhatsApp chats have also revealed details of financial transactions.

The raids are being conducted at premises linked to Taluka Tent House and its associates, wedding planners Bhavana Charan and Gunjan Singhal, Mapsor’s Mukesh Sharma, Akhilesh Sharma, Pritesh Sharma, Indian Wedding Planner Anand Khandelwal, and other associated businesses. The investigation wing of the Income Tax department is spearheading these raids.
