Forest dept action on hotel Indana Palace

Jaipur: Hotel Indana Palace, located on Delhi Road and just 95 meters from Nahargarh Wildlife Sanctuary, faces imminent action from the Forest Department. The hotel is situated within the ecosensitive zone, requiring clearance from the National Wildlife Board, which it allegedly lacks. This is a violation of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) notification.

The Nahargarh Forest and Wildlife Protection and Service Committee has written to the Amer Tehsildar, requesting the cancellation of the hotel’s land use change and the demolition of the structure. The committee plans to escalate the matter to the National Green Tribunal (NGT).

Rajendra Tiwari, of the Nahargarh Forest and Wildlife Protection and Service Committee, has raised these issues in a complaint to the CEC, NTCA, National Wildlife Board, Chief Secretary, ACS Forest, and Amer Tehsildar. He demands the cancellation of the illegal land conversion and the demolition of the hotel. The Amer Tehsildar and Forest Department officials are expected to take action soon by issuing notices regarding these allegations.
