425, including 22 prominent leaders join Raj BJP on Sunday
Jaipur: Former Congress MLA, district and state officials of the Congress, heads, former administrative officers, district council members, panchayat committee members, along with 22 prominent individuals and a total of 425 people, have joined BJP on Sunday.
Leaders including former MLA Gangajal Meel and Senior Congress leader Sushil Sharma, and former GST Commisioner Mahendra Sharma joined BJP on Sunday.
Hanuman Meel and Hetram Meel, who contested elections on Cong tickets. From Sikar Mahesh Sharma & Tarachand Dhayal, who contested assembly election as BJP rebel also joined BJP.
Sushil Sharma said that there is disappointment among the dedicated workers of Congress due to factionalism. He said he worked for Congress for 40 years but now there is no one to listen to the party workers and the party is divided in 4 factions.
“Under PM Modi, the Central Govt has proved its mettle not only in the country but also abroad. Influenced by this, with nationalist thinking, I have decided to leave Cong & join BJP,” he said.
Former Cong MLA Gangajal Meel said, “Today I am happy to come back to BJP. I contested elections from party, but later had to leave.”
