BOSS IS BACK!
HISTORIC! That is perhaps the only word that can aptly describe Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s State visit to United States of America and Egypt. In the context of changing dynamics in Asia-Pacific and the increasing role of India to ensure peace and stability in the region, this visit to the two nations, have been a watershed moment in not just Indian foreign relations and history, but to a great extent, it has been a watershed moment for world history as well!
Modi’s State guest honour extended by USA stamps the Indian PM’s dominant stature on world stage. Add to this is the fact that USA, which has been extremely hesitant in sharing its tech and that too military tech, has now openly embraced India and agreed on sharing, is a testament to India’s growing global role, its rise to power and PM Modi’s foreign policies and ‘tactics’!
On the other hand, PM’s State visit to Egypt, a first official bilateral visit by an Indian Prime Minister in over 26 years, is nothing short of historic. India and Egypt will strengthen their ties in various sectors as various MoUs have been signed. During his two day visit, PM engaged in several programs and meetings. The Egyptian angle is extremely crucial from India’s point of view because both West Asia and North Africa are strategically located regions which thus automatically become important to our strategic interests.
Thus, the crucial visits of the dynamic Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again put India on a higher footing in world politics and presented the nation and its ideas as a viable alternate, and quite frankly a better one, for the world which is witnessing crisis one after the other!
