Singer Rahul Jain accused of rape and assault at his flat by a costume stylist

Mumbai (Maharashtra): A shocking revelation about singer and composer Rahul Jain has taken the music industry by storm. The singer was recently accused by a costume stylist of allegedly raping her at his flat in Mumbai. An FIR has been lodged against him although no further arrests have been made yet. The costume designer claimed that Rahul reached out to her through Instagram and applauded her work. He then asked her to become his personal stylist and on the same pretext called her over at his flat in a high rise in suburban Andheri.

The stylist claimed that after she reached his house, he took her to his bedroom after claiming to show to her his wardrobe and clothes. He then allegedly raped her and even tried to destroy the evidence later on. The freelance claimed that the incident took place on August 11 and added that Rahul even assaulted her when she tried to resist. A case has been registered against the singer under sections 376 (rape), 323 (voluntary causing hurt), and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

On the other hand, Rahul has denied the allegations calling them “fake and baseless”. He made a public statement regarding the matter and said, “I don't know this woman. The allegations raised by her are fake and baseless. Earlier also a woman had made similar allegations against me but I got justice. This woman may be an associate of that woman.”

A similar incident happened last year in October when a lyricist-composer accused Rahul Jain of raping her, forcible abortions, abandoning a child, and cheating.
