Sanjay Dutt to reportedly don the negative role opposite Thalapathy Vijay in Thalapathy 67

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Sanjay Dutt has been on a vamp spree as the actor is pulling off every negative role with equal brilliance. Recently, Sanjay Dutt portrayed the role of Adheera in KGF 2 and to say that he did an excellent job would not suffice. Now, reports suggest that the actor has been roped in opposite Lokesh Kanagaraj’s next with Vijay. The project has been temporarily named Thalapathy 67 and will mark Lokesh’s reunion with the Tamil superstar after their hit venture, Master.

Film analyst, Girish Johar tweeted about the development as he wrote, “After #KGF2 this is the next big outing for #SanjayDutt Sir down South with #ThalapathyVijay @duttsanjay stars in @actorvijay ‘s film with @Dir_Lokesh … MASSIVE ! (sic).”

An official announcement on the same has yet to be made.

Several of his negative performances have been praised immensely by the audience. Starting from his role as a gangster in Khalnayak to the very bone-chilling rendition of Kancha Cheena, Dutt has aced it all really well. He portrayed not one but two negative roles this year with the first one being the Viking-based character of Adheera in the superhit film, KGF 2 which he played to the T and the second one being in Shamshera. Although the film did not fare well on the big screens, Dutt’s performance as the cruel police officer from the British Raj gained a lot of praise from the audience and critics alike.
