Ready to give up post for sake of farmers: Malik

  • I WANT TO WORK EXCLUSIVELY FOR JATS: GUV MALIK
  •  ‘PEOPLE REMEMBER MAHARANA, I REMEMBER JAT LEADERS’

Jodhpur: Meghalaya Governor Satya Pal Malik’s diatribe against his own government’s handling of farmers’ movement continued during a Marwar Jat Mahasabha Sansthan Social Service Award Programme on Friday in Jodhpur.

While launching a book at the event, Malik said he was always ready to fight for the rights of the farmers and would quit governorship for the cause.

Invoking Maharana Pratap, he said, “People remember Pratap in Rajasthan but I remember the Jat leaders. I advised Modi to take back all three farm laws.

I live in a one-and-a-half room house in Delhi. That’s why I took on the PM on farmers’ issues. Unless all the demands are accepted, the movement won’t be withdrawn. I have no enmity with the Central government but I am ready to give up my post for the sake of farmers.”
