Lover Strangles Woman to Death in Jaipur: Pretends Poisoning Drama, Arrested
Police in Jaipur have arrested a man for allegedly strangling his live-in partner to death. The accused, after killing the woman, staged a drama, claiming she died by poisoning. The incident was uncovered during police interrogation.
Details of the Case
Gandhi Nagar SHO Rajkumar Meena stated that the accused, Manish Nirwan (32), a resident of Jhalana Doongri, runs a grocery shop near his home. For the past four years, he had been in a live-in relationship with Kavita Bairwa (30), a resident of Baswa, Dausa, who had left her first husband and lived with her three children.
Fight During Drinking Party
On the night of November 17, Manish and Kavita were drinking together. During the drinking session, an argument broke out over money, with Kavita accusing Manish of giving money to his mother but not to her. Around 2 a.m., the fight escalated into physical violence.
Murder After a Heated Argument
According to the SHO, in a fit of rage, Manish slapped Kavita after she kicked her son off the bed during the fight. When Kavita retaliated by slapping him back, an enraged Manish strangled her to death by grabbing her neck and covering her mouth to muffle her screams. Kavita suffocated to death, and Manish then laid her body on the bed.
Drama to Mislead Family
Since Kavita was frothing at the mouth due to alcohol consumption, Manish called her father, Ramesh Chand, claiming her health had deteriorated. Upon Ramesh’s arrival, Kavita was found dead, with Manish pretending she had consumed poison.
The police conducted a post-mortem through a medical board at SMS Hospital and handed the body to the family. Suspecting foul play, they detained Manish, who eventually confessed to killing Kavita during questioning. He was arrested late Tuesday night for the crime.
