Ayushmann Khurrana announces the release date of his medical comedy-drama, DoctorG

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Leave it on Ayushmann Khurrana to bring forward an excellent comedy that not only tickles your bones but also makes you think. The actor's last outing was rather a serious film that brought forward a more dramatic side of his acting. But coming back to his home base, the actor is gearing up for the first comedy film after a long break from social comedies. DoctorG, medical campus comedy-drama, stars Ayushmann Khurrana alongside Rakul Preet Singh and Shefali Shah. After the release of the poster, everyone was eagerly waiting for the release date of his film. The wait is finally over as the actor announced the release date on his Instagram handle.

Directed by Anubhuti Kashyap, the film is set to release in the theatres on October 14. Ayushmann will be seen as a medical student in the field of gynaecologist. Sharing the poster along with the release date, the actor wrote, "ZindaGi hai meri full of Googly Chahiye tha Orthopedics, par ban gaya DoctorG Get ready for your appointments, #DoctorG will attend to you in theatres from 14th October 2022."

The film also stars Rakul Preet Singh as Dr Fatima Siddiqui and Shefali Shah as Dr Nandini Srivastav, who will be seen in prominent roles. Meanwhile Sheeba Chadha will be seen as Ayushmann's mother in the film. DoctorG promises to be an impactful comedy in these times of action-drama.

Other than this film, Ayushmann Khurrana has a slew of projects lined up. He further has Dream Girl 2 with Ananya Panday, Abhishek Bannerjee, Annu Kapoor and Manjot Singh. He also has Badhaai Ho 2 and a number of other projects too.
