The only Godfather I have is the Almighty: Sudhanshu Pandey

Sudhanshu Pandey, a singer and actor who has been in films and on television, hopes of forging deeper connections with his audience. Recently we had an exclusive conversation with him, where the star opened up on mental health, his journey and more!

Talking about his fitness Sudhanshu Pandey, " Fitness is not about maintaining a physique, it's about a mindset. I beleive that in life first you learn what not to do and eventually you'll know what to do. You shouldn't sit for much time, these are some basic things if you follow it will be great. I don't take supplements or do any heavy workouts, the only thing which will keep you healthy and at your best is your mental health. And if you see the biggest challenge one can face today is the struggle with our mental health. Most of the times we find ourselves comparing to others, their jobs, their lives. We keep chasing things throughout our life and forget about our own individual existence.

When asked about being in this glamorous industry where we don't really know how the person who is acting is feeling, how does he take care of his mental health. Sudhanshu responded, " it is very important to connect with yourself on daily basis. We are in always looking forward to connect with everyone around is except ourselves which is why lack. It is very important to catch hold of our consciousness, thoughts and our feelings. Because it can really affect you! Doesn't matter if the time son your life is good or bad, if you don't take care of your mental sanity it is going to make things worse. Once that stability comes inside you no one can shake your foundation".

Speaking of his spiritual journey, " i have always been spiritual throughout my life, i have always had that immense faith in God. And during the hoga and lows, i have always found that guidance through out any circumstances. I have devoted myself to Mahakal and i have learned to accept things, but this doesn't come overnight. It takes years of consistency and belief. Things can really get to you at times and stopping it is an important thing to do. In 2008 i had a panic attack and i was in a dark space for quite a time and it atleast took me 4 years to come out of that phase. And without any medication or external help, i started surrendering myself more and more to shiv and i got out of it. Ever since then i have been a huge follower of him.

Talking about his journey in the Industry he said, " i had started modelling at the age of 19 and i was already at the top. Ever since i haven't looked behind. After 3 years i came to Bombay and i started working here. I never really learned anything. I learned things while i was doing my job. I have done some incredible job in the Tamil film industry where i have dubbed an entire script in 6 hours, quite a journey it has been. I didn't had a Godfather but i have beleive in an almighty who is my Godfather and who has always guided me.

Speaking of this Industry he said, " it shouldn't be a Bollywood or a South Industry! It should be an Indian industry when it comes to entertainment. The work culture everywhere is different but that's what makes it special. Regardless of the stardom we have, i think i am blessed enough to maintain my Individuality.

Talking about his similarities with his character Vanraj, "I think the only similarity me and Vanraj have is that we are dedicated to our family that's it", he concluded.
