Family satsang turns into a battle of wits between Veer and Meethi Maai on ‘Mera Balam Thanedaar’
COLORS' hit family drama 'Mera Balam Thanedaar' gets a thrilling twist with the arrival of Meethi Maai, played by Barkha Bisht. The show, centered on the contrasting marriage of IPS Officer Veer (Shagun Pandey) and the lively Bulbul (Shruti Choudhary), continues to captivate audiences. In the upcoming week, during the family aarti, Vyom suddenly falls and cries out, “Maa!” Instead of panicking, Vani hugs him, surprising everyone. However, Veer is stunned when Sulakshana suggests visiting Meethi Maai’s ashram for a satsang to express their gratitude, and Veer sees this as a chance to investigate. At the ashram, everyone's phones are collected, but Veer secretly carries a camera pen. As Meethi Maai begins the Satsang, Veer sneaks out, discovering a hidden room where her followers discuss a mission, revealing that the attack on the picnic bus and the fake COD were orchestrated by Meethi Maai.
Meanwhile, Veer gathers evidence while Bulbul distracts Meethi Maai with questions about love. As Veer rushes to leave, his shirt rips. Back in the Satsang, Meethi Maai finds the torn shirt, and her followers announce that Lord Kanha’s jewelry is missing, prompting a search. Realizing the search is for him, Veer hides the pen’s chip in Meethi Maai’s pendant, which Bulbul then wears. Later Meethi Maai returns, taunting Veer that he can’t expose her because of the faith people have in her, but Veer counters that he has all the evidence needed. In the meantime, Meethi Maai plays a trick, revealing the missing jewelry in Bulbul’s purse, shocking everyone. Veer realizes he must handle Meethi Maai with extreme caution, as she holds the power to destroy his family. Will Veer find a way to outsmart Meethi Maai and protect his family from her manipulative schemes?
Barkha Bhist playing the role of Meethi Maai shares, “My character holds the power to shape beliefs and control narratives. In the show, Veer thinks he can expose Meethi Maai, but he underestimates her influence over society. This storyline is about more than just deception—it's a strategic game where only the shrewdest will prevail. Meethi Maai is not just a spiritual leader but a force to be reckoned with and her plans are bigger than they seem."
