From IPS to IAS: Sudhanshu Nayak prepares for new role in UP
Lucknow: IPS officer Sudhanshu Nayak, posted as ACP in Kanpur Police Commissionerate, will resign from his post and go to Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy in Mussoorie to undergo IAS training starting December 1.
Nayak was selected in IAS under UPSC examination 2018. Due to the court case, which after being cleared, he got the 2019 batch and Uttar Pradesh carde. He joined as an IPS officer in UP.
IPS Nayak is a simple and intelligent officer. He was selected in IPS under the UPSC 2020 examination, after which he got UP carde as 2021 batch. He is currently posted as ACP in Kanpur and has sent his resignation. Soon he will be relieved and go to Mussoorie for training.
Meanwhile, among the IAS batch of 2019 officers, 17 IAS officers are already present in UP. After the arrival of Nayak, there will be a total of 18 officers from this batch. Before this, IAS Aparajita Singh came after marrying CDO Shahjahanpur IPS Devendra Kumar and before that IAS Sanya Chhabra came to the 2019 batch of UP cadre after marrying MD State Tourism Corporation Lucknow IAS Ankur Kaushik CDO Sultanpur. Now, there are a total of 18 IAS officers in this batch, out of which there are nine women IAS officers.
Soon, another woman IAS officer from Bihar will enter the bureaucracy of UP after marrying an IPS officer.
