Kabir Bedi is a seasoned performer who has worked in films for over fifty years. He has collaborated with A-list celebrities on various films and TV series. But did you know that when Kabir was a little child, he lived as a Buddhist monk? It's true what you just read! at a previous interview, the actor had said that because his mother was a Buddhist nun, he had initially been ordained as a monk and had spent his first ten years of life at a monastery.

Kabir said in a 2013 interview with Hindustan Times that because his mother was a Buddhist nun, he had his head shaved at an early age and was locked in a room to force him to embrace a monastic lifestyle. The senior star was quoted as saying, “My mother was a Buddhist nun in Tibet for the last 15 years of her life. I was also ordained a monk in Burma when I was 10. I spent a few months in a monastery as well. My head was shaved, and I was put in a room, had to wear a robe, roam the streets with a bowl to get donations of food from people, and meditate for certain hours in the day. I spent the summer that year as a Buddhist monk.”

'Stories I Must Tell: The Emotional Journey of an Actor' was the title of Kabir's autobiography, which was published in 2021. In it, he poured his heart out and even discussed his four marriages and affair with Parveen Babi. The actor said that all of his ex-wives were his close pals in an interview.

The 77-year-old actor, who made his Bollywood debut in the 1971 film Hulchal, has appeared in more than 60 Indian films. The movie "Kari Haida? Koragajja" by Sudhir Attavar marks Kabir Bedi's Kannada cinema debut. He will be seen in the movie portraying a King, and he believes that the rest of the world will appreciate the film's beauty.

He most recently appeared in Samantha Ruth Prabhu's movie 'Shaakuntalam,' playing the part of Kashyapa, an old sage.
