Woman stuck in borewell feared dead, rescue ops on
Sawai Madhopur: The borewell opened in Ramnagar Bairwa Dhani of Bamanwas once again proved a death well.
Despite the rescue operation that continued for more than 30 hours, the 25-year-old woman could not be rescued.
Initially, oxygen pipes and cameras were inserted in the borewell.
Based on the sighting, the woman was trapped at a depth of more than 90 feet. In such a situation, NDRF and SDRF teams tried to rescue the woman but all efforts proved inadequate.
DM Gaurav Saini, who reached the spot, taking stock of the situation, gave instructions to start excavation work as a last option.
After this, the work of digging a sloping pit of 135 feet in length near the borewell was started on Thursday afternoon. The district administration set a target to complete the rescue operation in 24 hours.
