With Birla’s efforts, Raj will get an additional 265 MW of electricity
New Delhi: Due to the efforts of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Rajasthan will receive an additional 265 MW of electricity. Union Energy Minister ML Khattar has approved the allocation from the unallocated pool. In a meeting in New Delhi, attended by Birla, Khattar, Rajasthan Energy Minister Heeralal Nagar, and Energy Secretary Pankaj Agarwal, discussions focused on various Energy Dept schemes and projects. This additional electricity will enhance power supply, allowing farmers longer irrigation periods during the Rabi season. Birla emphasised the goal of making Rajasthan selfreliant in energy and ensuring timely electricity for farmers. The Central Power Ministry has ordered this electricity allocation from West Region until Sep 30, bringing the total to 1,000 megawatts for the state.
