‘VIKAS PURUSH’ COMETH!
The man who has now become a synonym of development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will be in Rajasthan on Wednesday to dedicate and lay the foundation stone of infrastructure projects worth over Rs 5,500 crore. PM will lay the foundation stone for road construction projects for upgradation to two-lane in Rajsamand and Udaipur.
PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone for the gauge conversion project and for setting up of a new line from Nathdwara to Nathdwara town in Rajsamand. Further, PM will dedicate three national highway projects to the nation, including 114 km long six-lane Udaipur to Shamlaji section of NH-48; 110 km long widening and strengthening to 4-lane with paved shoulder of Bar-Bilara-Jodhpur Section of NH-25; and 47 km long two lanes with paved shoulder section of NH 58E. But this visit of Modi will also mark, informally, the blowing of the election bugle for State Assembly, by the BJP, in Rajasthan which goes to poll at the end of the current year.
With the party bracing itself for the ‘six months long battle’, Modi’s face and charisma, as expected by the BJP and its supporters, will give the party the much needed momentum to work on. The Rajasthan BJP, which has not been able to make a dent in Congress’ ‘hopes’, is looking to ‘sail through’ under the ‘favourable winds’ created by PM’s visit.
The PM, on the other hand, will focus all his might on the development model, as his work at national level has surely resonated with the Rajasthanis. And with the power of PM Modi’s fabulous oration and his ‘double-engine government’ work culture, it is believed that Modi will turn the tide in BJP’s favour, in the southern Rajasthan belt, which is a powerhouse of BJP.
All the CM contenders of BJP in the 2023 elections, including a ‘hopeful’ Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, will queue at Dabok airport in Udaipur to receive Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
