VC RL Godara found guilty of financial irregularities

Kota: After Rajasthan Technical University, there are allegations of corruption against the vice-chancellor in another university in Kota. Raj Bhavan’s inquiry committee has found RL Godara, VC of Vardhman Mahaveer Open University, Kota, guilty of financial irregularities.

Governor’s principal secretary Subir Kumar has written a letter to ACS of Home Department for an ACB investigation against the VC.

The university received a grant in crores from Maulana Azad Education Foundation’ for training purposes. Instead of getting training done from the university, amount was given to private agencies & sanction of grant was not taken from FA of university.

The committee said that there was corruption of at least Rs 2 Cr. However, no action has been taken by higher education department. They did not even suspend the VC after Raj Bhavan’s letter.
