Upper Highlevel Canal Project’s role imperative in devp of Tribal zone: CM
Banswara/Dungarpur: CM Ashok Gehlot, on Monday, laid the foundation stone for construction of siphon on Anas river under Upper High Level Canal Project in Lankai (Bagidora) of Banswara and Rs 2500 crore Upper High Level Canal Project in Magarda. With this project, water will be available for irrigation in 338 villages of 6 tehsils of the district.
“Due to the assurance of irrigation water, sustainable development will be possible in the area and employment opportunities will increase. This project will play an important role in the socio-economic upliftment of the region.” Gehlot said that 6 tehsils of the district namely Banswara, Bagidaura, Gangad Talai, Anandpuri, Kushalgarh and Sajjangarh have been connected with the project. said.
Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot while inspecting the Inflation Relief Camp at Tokwasa village in Dungarpur district on Monday. said that the people troubled by the ever-increasing inflation are getting relief from inflation relief camps. “Through these camps, State govt is fulfilling its resolve to provide relief to people from inflation. The public welfare schemes run in State are unique in the whole country,” Gehlot said.
