Union Min Shekhawat, Meghwal praise Raj’s culture at award show in Delhi
New Delhi: Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said that Indian culture is the best culture in the world. Rajasthan’s culture is the best among them. He said that PM Narendra Modi is making India proud in the whole world by becoming India’s cultural ambassador. Shekhawat was speaking on Sunday at the annual function organised at India Habitat Centre in New Delhi in golden jubilee year of Delhi’s leading social service organisation Rajasthan Ratnakar.
Shekhawat said that organisations like Rajasthan Ratnakar have been preserving this culture for the last 50 years. He said that Rajasthan Ratnakar is doing inspiring and exemplary work by keeping the culture of its state alive in a metropolis like Delhi.
In the ceremony, Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal said that wherever migrant Rajasthanis live, they become synonymous with Rajasthani and Indian culture. He also sang a song while speaking in pure Rajasthani and said that there is purity in Rajasthani culture and there is no obscenity in songs here.
Presiding over function, Pali MP PP Choudhary praised social, cultural and creative work of Rajasthan Ratnakar & leadership of Ratnakar Chairman Rajendra Gupta.
In the ceremony, renowned litterateurs were honoured for best service to Rajasthani literature. Dr. Chandra Prakash Deval of Udaipur was given ‘Deep Chand Jain Sahitya Puraskar’ for the best Rajasthani book. Dr. Kirti Sharma of Hanumangarh was given ‘Shri Bagla Sahitya Puraskar’ for her book ‘Baat Ek Raat Ri’ and Shankar Singh Rajpurohit of Bikaner was given ‘Roopramka Lokgeet Puraskar’ for Rajasthani folk singing.
