Twenty injured, three booked including BJP MLA in Jalore

Jalore: Nearly 20 people were injured, including a police constable, in Rajpura village here on Saturday when a dispute broke out between locals & police over the place of Samadhi of deceased Sadhu, Ravinath Maharaj, who committed suicide by hanging self from tree.

Sources informed locals wanted to give Samadhi on the MLA’s land, but they were stopped by the police. The agitated locals started pelting stones at the police injuring nearly 20 people. Meanwhile, the deceased sadhu is yet to be given samadhi.

Following the protest, an FIR was filed against BJP MLA Puraram Chaudhary & 2 others. Matter has now been transferred to CID CB for investigation.
