Talks failed over protest of Saini community
Bharatpur: People from the Saini community continued their protest for the seventh day on Thursday in Bharatpur over their demand for reservation in jobs and higher education. An 11-member delegation held talks with PWD Minister Bhajan Lal Jatav, but a consensus could not be made. Jatav said that neither financial assistance of Rs 1 crore can be given to the family of deceased Mohan Saini, nor a government job to the family or a martyr status to the deceased. “Talks are being held & a positive outcome is expected. Will try to provide as much help as possible,” said Jatav. Divisional Commissioner Sanwarmal Verma has extended the internet shutdown till on April 28.
