Sant Ratinath to be laid to rest today

Sikar: Revered saint of Shekhawati Sant Ratinath passed away on Thursday night. He breathed last in Mumbai. He was the peethadhishwar of Bau Dham near Laxmangarh. The funeral will be performed on Saturday during which most of the towns in the districts will remain closed as a mark of mourning. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar, former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, deputy leader of opposition Rajendra Rathore, PCC President Govind Dotasara, former minister Rajkumar Rinwan, MLAs Hakam Ali, Abhinesh Maharshi, Rajkumar Sharma, others expressed condolences. They described the death as a great loss for mankind. Saint Ratinath’s servant Pawan Khedwal informed that the the body will be brought to Jaipur by a chartered plane late at night. He said that samadhi will be given on Saturday. Meanwhile, devotees have started coming from many places including Mumbai, Kolkata, Assam for his last rites. Nearly one lakh devotees are likely to attend the last rites. He popularly known from his devotional songs sung by even over two decades or more.
