Sachin Pilot criticises State, Union budgets for neglecting inflation
Tonk: Congress leader Sachin Pilot hit out at both the central and state governments on Wednesday, particularly targeting the union and state budgets for their failure to address inflation.
He highlighted that the state budget included only big announcements and there was a lack of clarity on how these promises would be fulfilled.
In the union budget, Pilot pointed out, only Bihar and Andhra Pradesh received budgets exceeding Rs 1 lakh crore, stressing that this disparity appeared to prioritize political agendas over equitable distribution among states.
He emphasized that this approach risks alienating other states and undermines public trust.
Regarding the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project (ERCP), Pilot accused the government of raising the issue solely during elections without meaningful action afterward.
He said that the Congress had demanded from the central government to recognize ERCP as a national project.
