Rs 1.16 cr hawala money seized from Udpr & Sikar
Udaipur/Sikar: Udaipur’s Dhanmondi police station and District Special Team took major action on Friday and arrested a person with Rs 71.66 lakh. The police received information from an informer that there was a hawala trader who is carrying cash worth lakhs and is staying above the Pattal Dona shop located at Dehligate in the city. It is said that the accused Ishwar Bhai came to Udaipur from Gujarat with the cash. Police reached the spot and searched the young man and found a bag full of cash. When the police counted the cash, it was found that the total amount was Rs 71.66 lakh. No valid documents were found with Ishwar Bhai.
Meanwhile, Sikar police have detained a bike rider with a cash sum of Rs 45 lakh during the code of conduct in the state. The matter will be investigated by the IT Dept. As per the police, they got information that a person was carrying hawala money in the city.
