Residents struggle with severe waterlogging; GS Shekhawat intervenes

Jodhpur: MP and Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has directed the district administration to urgently address drainage issues in Banad-Khokharia area, where residents struggle with waterlogging. The problem has worsened with rainwater and dirty water flooding over 10 colonies, including Banad-Khokharia, Saran Nagar, and others.

Shekhawat instructed District Collector Gaurav Agarwal to resolve the situation promptly. Following his directives, the administration began work, installing seven pumps and repairing roads with JCB. The minister expressed displeasure over the local administration’s delay, emphasizing the residents’ ongoing difficulties due to waterlogging and unsanitary conditions in the affected areas.
