Rescue op of woman stuck in borewell in final stages

Sawai Madhopur: The rescue of 25-yearold Mona Bai, who fell down a borewell in Ramnagar Bairwa Dhani, Bamanwas, remains a difficulty for the administration. Due to the failure of several forms of rescue attempts, a modern piling machine created a trench more than 90 feet deep and 3 feet away from the borewell on Friday. Three-foot-diameter pipes were put into the pit, and an SDRF team specialist was dropped in. According to SDM Anshul Singh, the dirt becomes extremely hard after digging more than 90 feet deep. However, the government has expressed the potential of finishing the rescue work by Saturday night only. Gaurav Saini, the District Collector, is conducting appropriate monitoring.

On Friday, the Pioneer machine was brought by the administration from Ajmer to dug up to about 40 feet. An attempt was made to take Mona Bai out using an iron ring and hook, but the ring and hook were not of the woman’s size.
