R’bore tigress T-2301 shifted to Mukundra
Sawai Madhopur: Tigress T-2301 has been shifted from Ranthambore to Mukundra Tiger Reserve.
The forest department team traced the tigress for 10 days and tranquilized her in Phalodi range on Wednesday before shifting to Mukundra Tiger reserve by road.
The tigress is aged about two and a half years.
DFO Ranthambore Mohit Gupta said that three teams were trying to trace the tigress for the last 10 days. He said that the tigress was not seen due to the rainy season. The team started tracking the tigress on Wednesday morning. During this, the tigress was spotted in Naka Devpura of Phalodi range. The tigress was tranquilized around 12 noon, After a health checkup, the tigress was sent to Mukundra by road. The operation was carried out by 30 officers and employees of the Forest Department.
Tigress 2301 is the offspring of Tigress T-114 and Tiger T-108.
