Rajsamand BJP workers attempt to gherao collectorate, clash with police

Rajsamand: Police resorted to water cannon and cane-charging against the BJP workers who took out a protest rally against the State Government over various issues, including deteriorating law and order, in Rajsamand on Monday.

A large number of BJP workers led by the party’s state president CP Joshi and MP Diya Kumari took out Jan Aakrosh Mahagherao in Rajsamand city to submit a memorandum to the district collector.

The workers holding placards raised anti-government slogans and marched towards the district collector’s office, however, they were stopped by the police.

“Farm loans were not waived, youths did not get unemployment allowance and their future was put into dark as paper leaks occurred,” CP Joshi told reporters.
