PM Modi, Guv and CM Sharma congratulate Paralympic medalists
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Avani Lekhara of Rajasthan for winning the gold medal in the 10m air rifle shooting (R2 Women 10M Air Rifle SH1) event at the Paris Paralympics. Modi highlighted that Lekhara is the first Indian female athlete to win three Paralympic medals, commending her dedication and the pride she brings to India. Modi also congratulated Mona Agarwal of Rajasthan for her bronze medal in the same event, noting her remarkable achievement and dedication.
Both Lekhara and Agarwal are from Jaipur. Governor Haribhau Bagade & CM Bhajan Lal Sharma also extended their congratulations. Sharma additionally praised Indian sprinter Preeti Pal for her bronze in Women’s 100-meter T-35 event & Manish Narwal for his silver in 10-m Air Pistol event. “PM’s leadership boosts sports progress,” he said.
