People will no longer be deceived by false guarantees: Shekhawat

Jodhpur: Reacting to 7 guarantees announced by the Congress in Rajasthan, Union Jal Shakti Minister GS Shekhawat on Sunday, said that Congress is using OPS only as an election weapon in Rajasthan.

“Before making the announcement here, they should know the position of Congress govt of Karnataka and Himachal. The governments there have expressed their inability to implement OPS. The Centre has constituted a high level committee for a permanent solution to OPS. Work on this is going on rapidly,” he said while addressing the media in Jodhpur where he also inaugurated divisionlevel Media Centre of BJP. “Gehlot govt didn’t do any work for last four and a half years & in last 6 months, they are deceiving public in name of guarantees, but public has now known the reality of these guarantees,” he said.

“English schools were already started in a hurry in Raj. Of these, 58% posts are still vacant. Not a single teacher in these schools is educated in English medium. In order to open English medium schools, Hindi schools were neglected and the result was that enrolment in state reduced by about six lakhs.” Shekhawat said that the guarantee of providing lap tops to college students is also an illusion.
